The Application of YouTube Media in Learning Speaking: Students’ Perceptions

English has an important role as a global language, especially in the era of globalization. To master English, there are four types proficiency skills such listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Speaking is simplest form communication life. However, teaching techniques Indonesia used by teachers generally unattractive monotonous. Students only provided with textbooks conventional materials; therefore, it affects students' opportunities to improve their speaking skills. This study aimed determine perceptions YouTube learning media English-speaking mixed method which cover quantitative qualitative designs. Thus, instruments include questionnaires distributed via Google Form 215 11th grade students State Senior High School No. 58 Jakarta interview for selected students.
